Procedures

Schedule:
The class period would last 45 minutes in the junior high setting. Student's will arrive before the bell rings. They will collect their class binders.  They will have 5 minutes to complete the bell question that is posted on the white board. After that time class instruction will take place.  The learning activities during that time would be dependent on the students, subject and/or learning objective for the period.  The activities would range from class instruction (direct instruction), group work, or individual work.  During the majority of the time students will be expected to remain in their assigned seats.  The only time there would be an exception is during small group work or computer station work.  The students will continue working until I excuse them at the end of the class period after the bell has rang.

The students will be taught the schedule during the first week of school.  I will show them in a role-play what the start of class procedure is.  We will also talk about non-example.

Routines:

Transitions:
Bathroom Breaks:
Students will be given two hall-passes at the beginning of the quarter.  Once the student uses the two hall-passes they can pay 3 Bonus Bucks in order to purchase another hall-pass

When the student leaves they will take the hall-pass after they sign the hall-pass log book.

Start and End of Class:
The plan for the start and end of class is listed above in the schedule.

Signal:
To gain the student's attention I will say "1-2-3 Eyes on me".  I will teach the students that when that is said they stop what they're doing, and look at me.

Crisis Plan:
The school has a set crisis plan.  I plan on implementing it as established by the school
